1.0 Vocabulary Terms and Diction

• Instances of “We”, “Us”, “Mods”, and “Our” refer to the moderators, staff, owners and co-owners of The Realm of Orin.
• Instances of “You”, “Member” and “User” refers to yourself and the members of the group.
• Instances of “The group”, “The service” and “The website” refers to the Realm of Orin and its properties (https://realmoforin.com, the Deviantart group, Toyhou.se account, etc).

2.0 General Rules

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Falsifying this information in order to gain access will result in a ban. If you are under 16 years of age and live in the EU or UK, you must obtain parental consent before creating an account.

By creating an account with The Realm of Orin, you agree to these Terms of Service along with any other laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these laws or Terms of Service, you are forbidden from accessing any and all content featured on this website or for the group The Realm of Orin. Agreement with Terms of Service also means that you agree with the Privacy Policy.

2.1 Accounts

All accounts require your legal birthdate and a valid email under the account owner’s name. Any violation to this may result in warnings or bans depending on severity. Any mistakes in birthdate or email should be taken up with mods to prevent disciplinary action from being taken. For your security, mods may not discuss account information with anyone besides the account owner. 

All users in The Realm of Orin, under any circumstances, may not:

• Create multiple accounts (Alternative “alt” accounts are not allowed).
• Use or distribute of “hacking” software (Such as scripting, unauthorized third party software, or any similar software). Additionally, abusing server or website bugs is not allowed.
• Create another account to bypass a ban.
• Share account details with other users.
• Break Terms of Service or other laws and regulations that affect this website and its users, including third party Terms of Service that are affiliated or used with The Realm of Orin’s website.
• Do anything that may harm other users, harm any user’s ability to access this website, harm how this website operates, or how partner or affiliate websites may operate.

Your account may be suspended or removed at our discretion and without notice. Only the account owner may speak to mods about ban appeals.

2.2 Terms of Service Changes

All Terms are subject to change without prior notice. By continuing to use The Realm of Orin’s services, you agree to accept the updated Terms. 

2.3 Third Parties

Third parties such as Toyhou.se, Paypal, Deviantart, Discord, Twitter, etc. may be used in the group and community and may have a Terms of Service that differs from The Realm of Orin’s. If this is the case, you must follow their Terms of Service at all times. Failure to comply with third party Terms of Service may result in punishment similar to breaking The Realm of Orin’s Terms.

3.0 Artwork and Ownership Regulations

The Realm of Orin is meant to be a PG-13 community. Due to this, we fully expect that all artwork and conversations exchanged in the group follows such standards.

• Portrayals of extreme violence, sexual themes, illegal activity, offensive behavior and anything along those lines will not be tolerated within the community. If you’re uncertain about a topic or theme, please ask before posting or use your best judgement: if you’re unsure if it fits into the rules, that most likely means it should not be posted.
• Those who bring such themes into the community, be it in conversation or art in general, may face a warning or an immediate ban depending on severity.

All artworks submitted are expected to be the submitter’s original works, or otherwise properly credited to the appropriate artist. This means that:

• Tracing, color picking characters, and heavy referencing is not permitted to any degree, and any works portraying such will be immediately removed by mod or staff.
• AI art or artificial intelligence generated images may NOT be submitted as user content.
• If you happen to notice that someone is tracing or may be following along those lines, please notify us and we will do what we can to assess the situation.

The reproduction of Realm of Orin’s assets for the sake of commercial use is strictly prohibited, and matters relating to such will be taken seriously. All content associated with https://realmoforin.com/  is the intellectual property of cmfyy (otherwise known as raijin), and his staff.

• The use of Realm of Orin’s property, be it imagery, lore, or other content, for personal gain/profit will result in the termination of your account—as well as legal action, if necessary (This also applies to those who take heavy inspiration from our works and intellectual property).

3.1 Species Ownership

“Orin” alongside any sister species, pet species, or anything similar under the Realm of Orin’s name is specifically owned by cmfyy (raijin) and his staff. Normal members may not create their own Orin without an MYO slot, as the species is a closed one. Individual characters, however, may be owned by members and will belong strictly to said persons based on ownership status.

Orin being a closed species means that only cmfyy (raijin) and his staff may make characters and designs under the Orin name freely. You may not make your own Orin without an MYO (Make Your Own) slot. This means that, if you do not have a slot, you may not make a character under the species name. While we do not claim the concept of unicorns and dream species, the Orin name is one of our own and cannot be used if it does not abide by the previously stated terms.

Ownership of an Orin design in includes partial rights to the design, participation in the group, and full liberty to the character's details and backstory. Some actions involving usage of a design are not permitted, and some actions may require mod approval for permission to be granted. 3.2 Website Assets

All website assets are owned by The Realm of Orin strictly. This includes anything non-user submitted, meaning specific official art, adopts, templates, layouts, and anything similar. The reproduction of these assets for commercial use by a user is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with legally if necessary.

However, user submitted assets along the lines of artwork, text, images, audio, video, and any similar files belong explicitly to 1) The user who owns the character the creative property is made for and 2) The creator of these creative properties. All submitted artworks and files must be credited properly or may risk being deleted from The Realm of Orin and possibly also warnings for the user who posted. All user submitted content must strictly not be illegal in nature, and must not potentially begin legal action against you, The Realm of Orin, and any third parties involved with The Realm of Orin. We may delete any content which we believe could cause this.

The Realm of Orin does not claim ownership for user submitted items. However, we ask for non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to repost user created submissions and artwork with proper credit if necessary for decoration, advertising, and anything similar. Users will be notified if this happens.

4.0 Community Guidelines

Upon accessing The Realm of Orin, you agree to behave in a kind and civil manner to both other members and staff. In order to avoid arguments between others, avoid talking or doing anything related to the following subjects.

• Politics, Religion, or any other sensitive topics.
• Hard drug or alcohol usage.
• NSFW topics, such extreme portrayals of gore or violence, sexual content, or any graphic descriptions.
• Any racist, transphobic, homophobic, or sexist behavior can result in your account being terminated. We will NOT tolerate any sort of this behavior.
• Swearing is discouraged. While occasional slip-ups are fine, repeated swearing will end in a warning. Usage of any common slurs will automatically result in a warning or a kick/hard ban.
• Any sort of spam or annoying behavior, such as walls of text, repeated copy and pastes, ghost pinging, etc.
• Disrespecting mods for any decisions made. If a mod decides on something, please follow what they say.

4.1 Drama/Gossip Rules

Any sort of gossip or drama will not be tolerated in the Realm of Orin. This includes any of the following:

• Callout posts, name-dropping, or remarking about any drama on the website or server.
• Guilt-tripping, harassment, negative comments, or derogatory speech regarding other members or staff.
• If anyone part of the Realm of Orin is harassing you in your DM’s, do not be afraid to contact us! In the case that this happens to you, contact anyone on the staff team with provided proof of the instance, and we will deal with it. 

4.2 Argument Rules

If you notice an argument taking place on the website or server between members, do NOT involve yourself in the argument or try to solve it yourself. If this happens, please alert someone on the staff team, and we’ll deal with it.

• Do not try to aggravate any members to cause an argument, or actively encourage an argument going on.
• Under any circumstance, do NOT falsify information regarding another member or staff for your own gain. This includes making false claims regarding the person, photoshopping conversations to make someone look bad, etc. If we learn that you are doing this, you will be punished.

If you have a problem with a staff member or see someone on the team doing anything against the community guidelines, please contact cmfyy (raijin).

5.0 Violations

By agreeing to the Realm of Orin ToS, you are acknowledging that you will be held accountable for your actions and that you will be punished accordingly if you happen to breach said ToS. Punishments may be dealt in the form of an account suspension, deletion, and permanent termination of your account. 

• Warnings may be issued in the state of a minor issue, or first-time violation. After the first warning, warnings will then come as strikes.
• Strikes are recorded and monitored closely. Upon receiving two strikes, your account will be temporarily frozen for the span of two weeks.
• A third strike will result in the full termination of your account. This termination is permanent and cannot be negotiated throughout the time it occurs.

Upon the ban and termination of your account, the following will go under effect:

• All currency and items under your ownership will be swept and cleared from your account. Any Orin under your ownership will also be voided, rendering them all unusable on our site, community and game.
• Any voided Orin will not, under any circumstance, be unvoided. Even if they are traded to another user, they cannot and will not surpass their termination within the species.
• New or extra accounts will be terminated upon discovery, no matter the circumstances.

In the case of extreme ToS violation, the Realm of Orin staff reserve the right to bypass the warning and strike system for immediate termination.

• If you truly find that your punishment was unjust, you are free to appeal your case after 3 months of your ban. Evidence and information surrounding the lift of your ban must be provided for proper consideration.
• Note that, even with a ban appeal in mind, staff are not obligated to allow you back into the Realm of Orin community, site, and game. No further objection will be acknowledged from there.

By agreeing to our Terms of Service, you are also agreeing to the policies and procedures outlined in our General Rules (Community Rules and Character Ownership Rules) and Privacy Policy.
