What constitues as Irregular Horns? Alternate Storage? A short guide:

Due to the variety of horns, this guide may not serve as a complete definitive answer. All approvals are considered subjective at the discretion of the mods!

The visual guide serves as several visual examples, and does not serve as definitive shapes you are restricted to!!
Go wild with other unlisted horn shapes! This is simply a guide to help you figure out what your horn shape counts as.
Horn styles do not have names (ie, "nubby," "antlers," etc). We only classify them as Normal Horns, Irregular Horns, Alternate Storage, and Crowns.

  • Normal Horns follow a similar shape and structure:
    • Cone shape, pointing upwards.
    • Can have slight bends, but cannot have prongs or splits.
    • Is a solid horn.
    • Is attached to the head.

    • Some examples include: nubby horns, pointy devil horns, unicorn whirly horns.
  • Irregular Horns deviate from the cone shape and structure,  but follows real life shapes or shapes from creatures found in human folklores.
    • Any shape, can point in any direction.
    • Can have noticeable or major bends and/or prongs or splits.
    • Is a solid horn.
    • Is attached to the head.
    • Some examples include: antlers, ram horns, beetle horn, disc/circle horns.
  • Alternate Storage follows anything that is not a traditional horn shape or found in real life or creatures in human folklores.
    • Literally any shape, item, object, etc
    • Does not have to be a solid horn.
    • Is attached to the head.
    • Cannot be easily mistaken as an accessory (ie, cannot look like it can be removed, like a hat or headphones.)

    • Some examples include: star-shaped horns, antennae, flowers, flames, wind-up key.
      • OVERLAP criteria applies to Alt. Storage.
  • Crowns are a subgroup of Alternate Storage that belong to the Divines (those who're born a Celestial or those who have achieved divinity via other means.)
    • Can be any shape. Some objects may require other traits to combine to achieve.
    • Floating storage with no horns attached to the head.
    • Subtype locked to Celestials.
    • Crowns must follow one of the three structures listed:
      • Royal Crest (Celestial): A large jewel surrounded by a string of other gems. Can be shaped or other objects.
      • Crown Jewel (Divine): A single large gem/jewel. Can be shaped or other objects.
      • Alternate Storage: For "crowns" and "jewels" that don't follow the same structure as the previous two. (eg, halo.)

✧ EYES ✧

What're the differences between Basic Eyes (C) and Irregular Eyes (R)?

Basic Eyes:

  • Pupils are optional mostly because it's a stylistic thing, so no pupils / has pupils are Basic Eyes.
  • If pupils are present, then they must be naturally occuring shapes (eg, oval, circle, marquise, etc.)
  • Iris and pupils can be any colors.
    • Heterochromia or sectorial heterochromia fall under Basic Eyes!
  • Can have any colored sclera.
  • Blankout eyes (entire eye is a single color) are considered Basic Eyes.

Irregular Eyes:

  • Shaped Pupils (eg, stars, hearts, etc.)
  • Shaped Irises.
  • Deliberately shaped eye sockets (eg, eyes that perpetually “drip” or spike out beyond a stylistic choice)
  • Pupils / irises are "blended" (eg, a swirly blankout eye.)
  • Unnatural pattering in the eyes (eg, a whole leaf pattern in the iris, uniform polkadot pattern in the iris, etc).
